
Sudurpaschim Province will observe a two-day public holiday on the occasion of the Gaura festival. The Government of Nepal has declared a public holiday on Bhadra 15, while the provincial government has added another holiday on Bhadra 16, as mentioned in the provincial gazette.
The Gaura festival celebrations in the province begin on Thursday. The federal government’s holiday falls on the main day of the festival — Athwari (Durvashtami) — ensuring that those celebrating the festival will receive time off.
