Bajhang, Nepal — Two people died on the spot after a tractor accident occurred in Thalara Rural Municipality Ward No. 2, Bajhang, last night.
The deceased have been identified as 60-year-old Pamle Khati and 62-year-old Jase Khati, both residents of Thalara-2.
According to police, the tractor driver, 45-year-old Khushiram Chaudhary of Godavari Municipality Ward No. 4, Kailali, was seriously injured in the accident and is currently undergoing treatment at the district hospital.
Provincial Traffic Police Office Attariya spokesperson, DSP Tek Bahadur Jora, said that the tractor (Sudurpashchim Province No. 01-002 Ta 5724) fell about 500 meters down from an inner road section at Kanda, Thalara-2.
Police said an investigation into the incident is underway.
