Two matches are set to take place on Tuesday under the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). After a break on Monday, the tournament resumes with double fixtures today.
In the first match, Janakpur will face Chitwan at 11:45 AM. In the second match, Pokhara will take on Karnali at 4:00 PM.
Defending champions Janakpur are still struggling to open their account this season, remaining winless in four matches. They are desperate for a consolation win. Chitwan, with 4 points, aim to secure a playoff spot by defeating Janakpur.
In the second match, Pokhara and Karnali Yaks will battle it out, with both teams facing difficulties this season. Both sides have only 2 points each. Karnali have already played five matches, while Pokhara have played four. Both teams remain in a tight position at the bottom of the table.
After 19 matches, the points table has become highly competitive. Sudurpaschim, unbeaten with 10 points, have already secured a playoff spot. Kathmandu have 8 points after losing two matches, while Biratnagar also have 8 points from five matches. Based on net run rate, Kathmandu are placed second, followed by Biratnagar.
Chitwan and Lumbini both have 4 points, with Chitwan ranked fourth and Lumbini fifth based on net run rate. Karnali and Pokhara each have 2 points, with Karnali in sixth and Pokhara in seventh position. Janakpur are at the bottom, yet to earn a point.
All matches of the NPL second season are being held at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, with both day and night fixtures. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has been selling 9,450 tickets for each match. The tournament began on Mangsir 1 and will continue until Mangsir 27.
The NPL features a total of 32 matches, including league-stage games, three playoff matches, and the final. Ticket prices for Saturdays are set at Rs 500 for general and Rs 1,500 for premium seats. For league-stage and regular matches, ticket prices are Rs 500 and Rs 1,000. For playoff matches, general tickets cost Rs 1,000 and premium tickets cost Rs 2,000.

Janakpur Bolts, Sudurpaschim Royals, Karnali Yaks, Pokhara Avengers, Biratnagar Kings, Chitwan Rhinos, Kathmandu Gurkhas, and Lumbini Lions.
