Two Super 8 matches are scheduled for today under the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
In the first match on Sunday, Sri Lanka national cricket team will face England cricket team. England advanced to the Super 8 from Group ‘C’ with three wins and one loss, while Sri Lanka reached the Super 8 from Group ‘B’ with three wins and one defeat.
Both teams finished as group runners-up. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:15 PM.
Super 8 matches began on Saturday. The opening game was disrupted by rain, resulting in New Zealand national cricket team and Pakistan national cricket team sharing points.
Out of the 20 participating nations, hosts India national cricket team and Sri Lanka, along with Zimbabwe national cricket team, West Indies cricket team, South Africa national cricket team, Pakistan, England, and New Zealand have advanced to the Super 8 stage.
In the Super 8 round, Group 1 consists of India, South Africa, West Indies, and Zimbabwe, while Group 2 includes England, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
In the second match on Sunday, defending champions India will take on runners-up South Africa. The match, to be held in India, will start at 7:15 PM. India topped Group ‘A’, while South Africa emerged as winners of Group ‘D’. Both teams remained unbeaten in the group stage of the tournament.
