Two young men lost their lives in a scooter accident near Bharatpur Airport in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-10, Chitwan, on Monday night. According to police, the incident occurred due to overspeeding, which caused the scooter to lose control and overturn on the road.
The scooter (Ba. Pra. 06-003 Pa 0692) met with the accident at around 2:00 AM. The victims, 25-year-old Sandeep Ghimire of Bharatpur-21 and 28-year-old Kushal Aryal, sustained serious injuries in the crash.
They were immediately taken to Bharatpur Hospital for treatment, but doctors declared them dead at 2:35 AM. Police suspect that the rider lost control of the scooter due to high speed.
The bodies of both deceased have been kept at Bharatpur Government Hospital for post-mortem. Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
