
U.S. Ambassador to Nepal Dean R. Thompson paid a courtesy call on Nepal’s newly appointed Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar today.
According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the meeting covered various issues of mutual interest.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Karki expressed gratitude for the continued support provided by the United States to Nepal and expressed confidence that such cooperation would continue in the days ahead.
Ambassador Thompson, on behalf of the U.S. government, congratulated Prime Minister Karki on her appointment and reaffirmed America’s commitment to supporting Nepal with the same priority as before.
