The ‘Ujyalo Nepal Party’, formed under the initiative of Energy Minister Kulman Ghising, and the ‘Hamro Nepal Party’ led by activist Khagendra Sunar, have agreed to contest the upcoming elections under a single election symbol.
For the upcoming general elections, both parties will run using the election symbol of “Electric Bulb” belonging to the Ujyalo Nepal Party.
Previously, Kulman Ghising’s Ujyalo Nepal Party had received the ‘Electric Bulb’ symbol, while Khagendra Sunar’s Hamro Nepal Party had acquired the ‘Light’ symbol from the Election Commission. However, for the purpose of the House of Representatives election, they jointly submitted a request to the Election Commission seeking a common symbol.
During a press conference, Sunar stated that the two parties have now united for the election, and with plans and strategies aligning, full party unification is no longer a distant possibility.
