
The CPN-UML has called a meeting of its central secretariat. According to Rajendra Gautam, head of the party’s publicity department, the meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, September 5 (Bhadra 19) at 3:00 PM.
He informed that the meeting will discuss the political report to be presented at the party’s second Statute Convention, the statute amendment proposal report, and the organizational report. Gautam added that once all three reports are discussed and endorsed, they will be presented at the convention.
At the convention, Prime Minister and party chairman KP Sharma Oli will present the political report, Vice Chairman and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel will table the statute amendment proposal report, and General Secretary Shankar Pokharel will present the organizational report.
The UML’s second Statute Convention will be held from September 6 to 8 (Bhadra 20–22) at the Sunrise Conference Center in Godawari, Lalitpur. A total of 2,350 participants, including 2,033 representatives and 317 others, are expected to attend.
