The Central Committee meeting of the CPN-UML has been postponed. The meeting had been scheduled for August 29 (13 Bhadra) to discuss proposals to be taken to the Statute Convention. However, it has now been postponed until further notice.
According to the party’s Head of the Publicity Department, Rajendra Gautam, the meeting was deferred as suggestions received on the draft of the statute amendment need to be incorporated.
The UML’s second Statute Convention is scheduled for September 5–7 (20–22 Bhadra). The meeting was originally called for August 29 to allow time for the draft of the statute amendment, to be presented at the convention, to be finalized and printed.
