The CPN-UML has decided not to invite foreign guests to its 11th General Convention.
A meeting of the main management secretariat of the convention, held on Thursday morning at the party’s central office in Chyasal, decided not to invite foreign political parties for physical participation.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, UML leader Mahesh Bartola said that instead of inviting foreign guests, the party will send letters of goodwill to 26 political parties from various countries.
He also informed that 16 Nepali political parties have been invited to attend the inauguration ceremony.
The UML’s 11th General Convention will be held from Mangsir 27–29, with the opening session in Bhaktapur and the closed session in Kathmandu.
