CPN-UML leader Kashinath Adhikari has announced his retirement from active politics. The 66-year-old leader made the announcement through a Facebook post, stating that he is stepping away from active political life. Reflecting on his five-decade-long political journey, Adhikari said he worked as a full-time political activist for 44 years and served as a central committee member of the UML for 33 years, but never considered himself a leader. He described himself as a grassroots party worker committed to social change, saying he never chased positions or opportunities. Emphasizing his honesty, integrity, and dedication, Adhikari wrote that he served the party selflessly, contributing his body, mind, and resources without conditions, and remained a tireless worker throughout his political life.
