Vote counting is underway for the 11th General Convention of the Nepal Communist Party (UML). Out of a total of 2,227 votes cast, over 50% (1,139 votes) have been counted so far.
Chairperson Race:
- KP Sharma Oli: 843 votes
- Ishwar Pokharel: 296 votes
- Vote Margin: 547 votes in favor of Oli
General Secretary Race:
- Shankar Pokharel: 613 votes
- Surendra Pande: 526 votes
- Vote Margin: 87 votes in favor of Shankar Pokharel
The preliminary results indicate a clear lead for KP Oli in the chairperson race, while the general secretary contest remains competitive.
