The CPN-UML has recommended the name of party chair KP Sharma Oli as its candidate from Jhapa-5 for the upcoming election scheduled to be held in Falgun. A meeting of CPN-UML Jhapa Constituency No. 5 held on Saturday unanimously recommended Oli as the sole direct candidate for the constituency.
According to UML Jhapa Secretary Tulsi Karki, Oli’s name was recommended unanimously, with no alternative candidates proposed. Oli has previously been elected from the same constituency in both the 2079 and 2074 elections.
