Kathmandu — Following the arrest of former Prime Minister and party chairman K.P. Sharma Oli, an emergency Secretariat meeting of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has outlined four major decisions, including nationwide protests and political coordination.
Key Decisions:
The party will launch a strong legal and political protest with the support of the general public and civil society.
UML-affiliated organizations will stage protests at district headquarters across the country today at 3:00 PM.
On Chaitra 15 at 12:00 PM, district committees will organize mass demonstrations and submit memorandums to the Chief District Officer’s offices in all districts.
The party will engage in dialogue and cooperation with all political forces that support democracy and the rule of law, as well as with civil society and the general public.
The party has demanded the immediate release of its chairman, intensifying both political and legal pressure on the government.
