The Nepal Communist Party (UML) has begun its Second Statute Convention with the slogan “Our Commitment: Building a Decisive National Force, National Goal: Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali.” The convention was inaugurated today at the Sunrise Hall in Lalitpur by party chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
Volunteers managed and facilitated entry for representatives and observers from the main road in Godavari, Lalitpur, to the convention venue. Inside the hall, a large digital board and seats for 18 office bearers were arranged at the front.
The stage was decorated with party and national flags on both sides, with small digital boards in Tundal style. On the left side of the stage were photos of Pushpalal Shrestha, Man Mohan Adhikari, and Madan Bhandari, while on the right were portraits of Karl Marx, Engels, and Lenin.
The convention will feature the presentation of a political report, various documents, and statute amendment proposals. According to the UML Publicity Department, the event is attended by 2,026 representatives and 315 organizers, totaling 2,341 participants.
