The body of an unidentified woman was discovered near the Siddhartha Highway in Palpa. According to the District Police Office, Palpa, the body was found in a stream at Rambha-3, Sitapahad. The woman is estimated to be around 35 years old.
Police reported that the woman had an injury on her forehead. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Hom Prakash Chaudhary said investigations are underway to determine whether it was a case of murder or an accident.
The deceased is believed to be of Terai origin. The body has been kept at Mission Hospital in Tansen, while police continue efforts to identify her relatives and investigate the incident further.
