The unity agreement between the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and the Kulman Ghising–backed Ujyalo Nepal Party has collapsed.
According to sources, the agreement broke down after the Kulman Ghising faction proposed a senior vice-chair position within RSP along with a change in the party’s name. RSP sources said that recent rounds of discussions, including those involving Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah, ended without any conclusion.
As a result, the talks failed to move forward, leading to the formal breakdown of the unity agreement between the two parties.
