Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today (Saturday). According to the rates determined by the central bank, the value of the US dollar has reached an all-time high. As per the published rates, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at NPR 145.09 and the selling rate at NPR 145.69.
Similarly, the buying rate of one European euro has been fixed at NPR 168.59 and the selling rate at NPR 169.29. The UK pound sterling is priced at NPR 194.51 for buying and NPR 195.31 for selling, while the Swiss franc stands at NPR 180.97 for buying and NPR 181.71 for selling.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar is NPR 97.32 and the selling rate NPR 97.72. Likewise, the Canadian dollar is being traded at NPR 104.49 for buying and NPR 104.92 for selling, while the Singapore dollar has been set at NPR 112.70 for buying and NPR 113.16 for selling.
For Japanese yen, the buying rate of 10 yen has been fixed at NPR 9.18 and the selling rate at NPR 9.21. The Chinese yuan is priced at NPR 20.82 for buying and NPR 20.90 for selling. Similarly, the Saudi Arabian riyal stands at NPR 38.69 for buying and NPR 38.85 for selling, while the Qatari riyal is set at NPR 39.83 for buying and NPR 40.00 for selling.
According to the central bank, the Thai baht has a buying rate of NPR 4.62 and a selling rate of NPR 4.64. The UAE dirham is priced at NPR 39.50 for buying and NPR 39.67 for selling. The Malaysian ringgit stands at NPR 35.76 for buying and NPR 35.91 for selling. The buying rate of 100 South Korean won has been fixed at NPR 9.85 and the selling rate at NPR 9.89. Likewise, the Swedish krona is set at NPR 15.74 for buying and NPR 15.81 for selling, while the Danish krone stands at NPR 22.56 for buying and NPR 22.66 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at NPR 18.60 and the selling rate at NPR 18.68. The Kuwaiti dinar has been set at NPR 474.46 for buying and NPR 476.42 for selling. Similarly, the Bahraini dinar stands at NPR 384.85 for buying and NPR 386.44 for selling, while the Omani riyal is priced at NPR 376.87 for buying and NPR 378.43 for selling. The buying rate of INR 100 has been fixed at NPR 160.00 and the selling rate at NPR 160.15.
The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It has also clarified that the rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the updated exchange rates are available on the official website of Nepal Rastra Bank.
