Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today, with the US dollar reaching its highest level so far. According to the rates determined for today, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at NPR 144.88, while the selling rate stands at NPR 145.48.
The buying rate of one European euro has been fixed at NPR 170.20 and the selling rate at NPR 170.90. Similarly, the UK pound sterling is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 193.95 and a selling rate of NPR 194.75. The Swiss franc has a buying rate of NPR 182.00 and a selling rate of NPR 182.75.
The Australian dollar is set at a buying rate of NPR 96.29 and a selling rate of NPR 96.69, while the Canadian dollar stands at NPR 105.20 for buying and NPR 105.64 for selling. The Singapore dollar has been fixed at NPR 112.38 for buying and NPR 112.85 for selling.
For Japanese yen, the buying rate for 10 units is NPR 9.35 and the selling rate is NPR 9.39. The Chinese yuan is set at a buying rate of NPR 20.56 and a selling rate of NPR 20.64. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of NPR 38.61 and a selling rate of NPR 38.77, while the Qatari riyal stands at NPR 39.76 for buying and NPR 39.92 for selling.
According to the central bank, the Thai baht has been fixed at NPR 4.61 for buying and NPR 4.63 for selling. The UAE dirham is set at NPR 39.45 for buying and NPR 39.61 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at NPR 35.40 for buying and NPR 35.55 for selling. The buying rate of 100 South Korean won is NPR 9.89 and the selling rate is NPR 9.93. The Swedish krona has been fixed at NPR 15.59 for buying and NPR 15.66 for selling, while the Danish krone stands at NPR 22.78 for buying and NPR 22.88 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has also fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at NPR 18.62 and the selling rate at NPR 18.69. The Kuwaiti dinar is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 472.14 and a selling rate of NPR 474.09. Similarly, the Bahraini dinar has been fixed at NPR 384.32 for buying and NPR 385.91 for selling, while the Omani riyal stands at NPR 376.31 for buying and NPR 377.87 for selling. The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at NPR 160.00 and the selling rate at NPR 160.15.
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It has also clarified that the rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the updated exchange rates will be available on the central bank’s official website.
