Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today (Saturday), with the US dollar reaching its highest level ever. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at NPR 146.81 and the selling rate at NPR 147.41. On Friday, the buying rate stood at NPR 146.32 and the selling rate at NPR 146.92.
Similarly, the buying rate of one Australian dollar has been fixed at NPR 100.55 and the selling rate at NPR 100.96, while one Canadian dollar is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 106.50 and a selling rate of NPR 106.94.
The European euro has been set at a buying rate of NPR 172.31 and a selling rate of NPR 173.02, whereas the UK pound sterling stands at a buying rate of NPR 198.58 and a selling rate of NPR 199.39.
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It has also clarified that the rates determined by commercial banks may differ, and the updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
