Voting to select the leadership of the CPN-UML is currently underway. Voting through electronic machines began at 9:00 AM today, and by 11:30 AM, a total of 380 votes had been cast. Despite the use of voting machines, voters have complained that the process is taking a long time.
For the ongoing election, 80 voting machines have been arranged. Each voter is required to cast votes for nearly 300 candidates. Through this election, office bearers for the 301-member Central Committee are being elected, including one chairperson, five vice-chairpersons, one general secretary, three deputy general secretaries, and nine secretaries.
