According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Nepal is currently under the influence of a weak westerly wind system. Due to this, fog is present in the Terai region and valleys, while the high hilly and mountainous areas of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, as well as other high hills and Himalayan regions of the country, are generally cloudy.
The Department stated that this afternoon, fog may persist until midday in some parts of the Terai. High hilly and Himalayan areas across the country will see generally cloudy conditions, while the remaining hilly regions will experience partly cloudy skies. The Terai region will remain mostly clear.
There is also a possibility of light rainfall and snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
Similarly, tonight, fog is likely in some parts of the Terai. The high hilly and Himalayan regions of the country will be partly cloudy. There is also a chance of light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, the Department added.
