Due to the influence of Cyclone “Montha” developed in the Bay of Bengal and a low-pressure system, most parts of the country have been experiencing rainfall and cloudy conditions. However, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather is expected to gradually improve from this evening onward.
Currently, most provinces are witnessing rain and snowfall. The Division forecasts that Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces will remain mostly cloudy, while other provinces will experience partly cloudy skies.
During the afternoon, moderate rainfall is likely at many places in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. Light rainfall is also expected in some hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. A few areas in Koshi, Madhes, and Bagmati, and one or two places in Lumbini Province, may experience heavy rainfall.
Light to moderate rainfall is currently occurring in several areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces, in some areas of Gandaki Province, and in a few places in Madhes and Karnali provinces.
Similarly, moderate snowfall is likely in many high-hill and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with the possibility of heavy snowfall in a few places.
The Division has urged the general public, farmers, travelers, and vehicle drivers in areas expecting heavy rainfall and snowfall to exercise necessary caution and remain alert.
