
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted generally cloudy weather across the country on Tuesday. Since the monsoon trough remains south of its average position, the monsoon in Nepal is relatively weak. However, partial influence of moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal is being observed.
Due to this, generally cloudy conditions are expected in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Karnali provinces, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy skies. Moderate rainfall has been reported at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, with light rain occurring in one or two areas of Karnali and Madhesh provinces.
In the afternoon, most parts of the country will remain generally cloudy. Moderate rainfall is likely at some places in the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as at one or two locations in the Terai of Madhesh Province. Heavy rainfall is also possible at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.
During the night, generally cloudy skies are expected in the hilly regions of Koshi Province and other provinces, while other areas will experience partly cloudy conditions. Moderate rainfall is likely at a few places in the hills of Koshi Province, the Terai of Koshi, and the hilly regions of other provinces, as well as at one or two locations in the remaining Terai regions. Heavy rainfall is also expected at one or two places in the Terai region of Koshi Province.
The Division has urged the public to remain cautious as heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.
