Although weather conditions across Nepal have gradually improved after being affected by Cyclone Motha originating from the Bay of Bengal, the possibility of rainfall still remains in some regions.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light rain and snowfall are likely in a few hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces.
The department reported that while some hilly areas may remain partly cloudy, the weather in most other regions is expected to be mainly clear today. The continued cloudiness is due to the influence of westerly winds and a low-pressure system formed over the Arabian Sea.
This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Madhes Province and other regions, while the rest of the country will experience mostly clear skies.
Similarly, during the night, partial cloudiness will persist in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, while the weather in other provinces will remain mostly clear. The department also mentioned that light rain and snowfall are possible at one or two places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of these provinces.
