Currently, due to the influence of the monsoon and local winds, light to moderate rainfall is expected across all provinces. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, hilly regions of all provinces will generally remain cloudy, while the rest of the regions will remain partly cloudy.
There is a possibility of rainfall in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Sudurpaschim, and Karnali provinces, as well as in some parts of the Terai and in a few hilly areas of the remaining provinces.
In some places of the Terai region, moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is possible. The division has also stated that heavy rainfall is likely at a few places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
For tonight, the division forecasts generally cloudy conditions over the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces, with partly cloudy skies in the rest of the country. Moderate rainfall is likely at some places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places in the remaining regions.
