The government has decided to declare public holidays on Saturdays and Sundays in view of the inconvenience caused by disruptions in petroleum supply.
Government spokesperson Sasmita Pokharel stated that this decision will apply to government offices and educational institutions.
The decision was approved during the Cabinet meeting held on Sunday.
According to spokesperson Pokharel, the new holiday arrangement will come into effect from tomorrow, Chaitra 23.
