Partial influence of western and local winds has brought changes to the weather across Nepal, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
At present, hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, and Gandaki Province are generally cloudy, while other hilly regions are experiencing partial cloud cover. The Terai districts are mostly seeing clear weather.
On Saturday, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province and other Himalayan areas of the country. The Terai of Koshi and other hilly regions will see partial cloudiness, while the remaining Terai areas will have mostly clear skies.
However, light rain and snowfall are likely at a few places in the Himalayan regions of Gandaki, Karnali Province, and Sudurpashchim Province. There is also a chance of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi and other provinces.
Meteorologists have urged caution, especially in the Terai districts of Lumbini Province and Sudurpashchim Province, where strong winds are likely today. This mix of rainfall in the hills and windstorms in the Terai may have a mild impact on daily life.
