Nepal’s current weather pattern is being influenced by a combination of westerly winds and local air systems, causing noticeable changes in conditions across different parts of the country.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are generally experiencing cloudy conditions, while other hilly regions are seeing partial cloud cover. In contrast, most Terai districts are enjoying mainly clear weather.
Cloud activity is expected to remain higher in the Himalayan region, with partial cloud cover in the hills. There is a possibility of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the high-altitude areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two locations in other Himalayan regions. Light snowfall is also likely in some mountainous areas.
Meanwhile, the Terai region is expected to remain mostly sunny and clear. The department has urged people in the Himalayan areas to remain cautious, as rainfall and snowfall could lead to a slight drop in temperature.
