The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that Nepal is currently under the influence of a western disturbance along with local winds.
At present, the hilly and mountainous regions of Sudurpashchim Province and other similar terrains across the country are experiencing generally cloudy conditions, while the remaining areas have mostly clear weather.
According to the department, light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning, along with snowfall, is occurring at a few places in the hilly areas of Gandaki Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpashchim Province, as well as at one or two locations in the hilly areas of Lumbini Province, Bagmati Province, and Koshi Province.
For today afternoon, the department has forecast generally cloudy conditions in the mountainous and hilly regions, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy skies. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning, as well as snowfall, at a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions.
Similarly, tonight the mountainous regions are expected to remain generally cloudy, the hilly regions partly cloudy, and the Terai region mostly clear. Light rain with thunder and lightning and snowfall is likely at a few places in the mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, and at one or two places in the mountainous areas of Bagmati, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
