
Currently, the influence of moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal (monsoon winds) is causing rainfall across Nepal.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, most areas of Koshi and Madhes Provinces will remain fully cloudy, while Bagmati and Lumbini Provinces will experience partly to generally cloudy conditions. Other regions of the country are expected to see partial cloud cover.
There is a likelihood of moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning in many places of Koshi and Madhes Provinces, as well as in some hilly and Terai regions of other provinces. In addition, heavy rainfall is expected at one or two locations in Koshi and Madhes Provinces.
Later today, Koshi, Madhes, and Bagmati Provinces, along with hilly regions across the country, are likely to experience generally cloudy weather, while the remaining areas will remain partly cloudy. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in several places of Koshi, Madhes, and Bagmati Provinces, and in some areas of other provinces. One or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi Province may witness heavy rainfall.
