A woman died and her husband and son were seriously injured after a bus hit a motorcycle at Chormara Bazaar along the East-West Highway in Nawalparasi (Bardghat–Susta East).
According to the District Police Office, a westbound Indian bus with registration number JH 14 J 6465 struck a motorcycle with registration number Province 3–02–010 P 7230 traveling in the same direction on Saturday afternoon. The collision claimed the life of 30-year-old Anita Chaudhary, who was riding on the back seat of the motorcycle.
Her husband, 34-year-old Naresh Chaudhary of Lalbandi-4, Sarlahi, who was driving the motorcycle, and their 10-year-old son Anuj Chaudhary sustained serious injuries, informed Police Inspector Madhu Nepal, spokesperson of the District Police Office.
Both injured are currently undergoing treatment at Madhyabindu District Hospital. Following the accident, the bus and its driver were taken under control by the Tamsariya Police Post for further investigation.
