The World Day of Social Justice is being observed today in various countries through different programs and events. The day is marked every year under the auspices of the International Labour Organization (ILO).
Following a resolution passed by the United Nations General Assembly on November 26, 2007, it was decided that the day would be observed annually on February 20 starting from 2009.
The main objective of the day is to call upon the global community to unite for the promotion of social justice, equal opportunities, labor rights, and decent work for all.
