Youth activists have locked the main gate of the Nepali Congress Central Office in Sanepa on Sunday afternoon, demanding that the party announce the date for its regular general convention.
The protesters also called for greater youth representation in the upcoming convention, criticizing the party leadership for indecision and delays.
They demanded that the party ensure 40% representation of members under 40 years of age in the Nepali Congress and all levels of elections.
The youths also warned the party leadership not to ignore their voices, saying that the Congress should make timely and inclusive decisions to reflect the aspirations of the younger generation.
