The office of parliamentary party leader Rajendra Singh Rawal of Communist Party of Nepal (UML) in Sudurpashchim Province has been padlocked by Rastriya Yuva Sangh Nepal.
The protest comes after Rawal allegedly made appointments to hospital management committees without consulting the party. The youth wing has demanded that Rawal come into contact with them as soon as possible.
The padlocking was carried out on Sunday afternoon by the Krishnapur Municipality Committee of the youth organization in Kanchanpur.
Sources say the UML Sudurpashchim Province Committee has already informed the party’s central leadership, expressing dissatisfaction that both the parliamentary party and the provincial government were not consulted on political appointments.
Provincial committee chairman Krishna Prasad Jaisi also confirmed that the matter has been escalated to the party center.
