The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that the country is currently under the influence of a western low-pressure system. Fog has also been reported in some areas of the Terai region.
According to the forecast, the mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces will generally remain cloudy. The remaining parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, including Madhesh Province, as well as the hilly and mountainous areas of other provinces, will experience partly cloudy conditions. There is a possibility of light rainfall and snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces.
Tonight, fog is likely to occur in some parts of the Terai. Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces will witness partly cloudy weather, while the remaining provinces will see mainly clear skies. There is also a chance of light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province.
The Department has urged residents in areas forecasted to experience fog and snowfall, as well as those operating transportation services and carrying out daily activities in such regions, to exercise caution.
