Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Maida Toru, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sushila Karki at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar today.
The meeting was held to discuss various aspects of Nepal–Japan relations as the two countries mark the 70th anniversary of their diplomatic ties.
During the meeting, Ambassador Toru praised the government’s commitment to conducting elections on time and reiterated Japan’s willingness to provide any necessary support the Nepali government may need.
Prime Minister Karki expressed gratitude for Japan’s longstanding assistance in Nepal’s development and other key sectors. She also expressed confidence that Japan’s cooperation and goodwill would continue in the days ahead.
