The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Committee has fixed today’s wholesale prices of agricultural produce. According to the committee, large Indian tomatoes are priced at NPR 80 per kg, small local tomatoes at NPR 35 per kg, small tunnel-grown tomatoes at NPR 55 per kg, small Indian tomatoes at NPR 44 per kg, and small Terai tomatoes at NPR 52 per kg. Red potatoes are priced at NPR 30 per kg, Indian red potatoes at NPR 27 per kg, and dry Indian onions at NPR 40 per kg.
Similarly, local carrots and Terai carrots are priced at NPR 70 per kg each. Local cabbage is priced at NPR 60 per kg, Terai cabbage at NPR 40 per kg, and coconut cabbage at NPR 45 per kg. Local cauliflower is priced at NPR 45 per kg, local Jyapu cauliflower at NPR 70 per kg, and Terai cauliflower at NPR 50 per kg. Red radish is priced at NPR 35 per kg, white local radish at NPR 18 per kg, white hybrid radish at NPR 22 per kg, long brinjal at NPR 55 per kg, and round brinjal at NPR 70 per kg.
Peas are priced at NPR 70 per kg. Local broad beans (ghiu simi) are priced at NPR 220 per kg, hybrid at NPR 150 per kg, and rajma variety at NPR 160 per kg. Flat beans are priced at NPR 100 per kg, bitter gourd at NPR 190 per kg, bottle gourd at NPR 80 per kg, ripe pumpkin at NPR 55 per kg, green pumpkin (long and round) at NPR 30 per kg, turnip at NPR 60 per kg, okra at NPR 130 per kg, sweet potato at NPR 70 per kg, yam bean at NPR 60 per kg, taro at NPR 65 per kg, and chayote at NPR 70 per kg.
Leafy vegetables include mustard greens at NPR 20 per kg, spinach at NPR 50 per kg, garden cress at NPR 50 per kg, fenugreek leaves at NPR 60 per kg, green onion at NPR 60 per kg, Malabar spinach at NPR 80 per kg, colocasia stem at NPR 70 per kg, oyster mushroom at NPR 100 per kg, button mushroom at NPR 350 per kg, king mushroom at NPR 300 per kg, and shiitake mushroom at NPR 1,000 per kg.
Broccoli is priced at NPR 60 per kg, beetroot at NPR 70 per kg, asparagus at NPR 220 per kg, red cabbage at NPR 130 per kg, jiri greens at NPR 80 per kg, kohlrabi at NPR 65 per kg, celery at NPR 220 per kg, parsley at NPR 600 per kg, fennel greens at NPR 75 per kg, mint at NPR 350 per kg, thick radish at NPR 60 per kg, tamarind at NPR 180 per kg, bamboo shoot at NPR 130 per kg, tofu at NPR 150 per kg, dried fermented greens (gundruk) at NPR 350 per kg, and tree tomato at NPR 250 per kg.
Among fruits, bag apple is priced at NPR 250 per kg, Fuji apple at NPR 320 per kg, bananas at NPR 180 per dozen, lemon at NPR 130 per kg, pomegranate at NPR 320 per kg, green grapes at NPR 250 per kg, black grapes at NPR 440 per kg, Nepali orange at NPR 180 per kg, watermelon at NPR 90 per kg, sweet orange at NPR 130 per kg, junar at NPR 130 per kg, pineapple at NPR 155 per piece, local cucumber at NPR 150 per kg, hybrid cucumber at NPR 120 per kg, lime at NPR 65 per kg, Chinese pear at NPR 240 per kg, Nepali papaya at NPR 70 per kg, Indian papaya at NPR 110 per kg, lapsi at NPR 130 per kg, kinnow at NPR 130 per kg, strawberry at NPR 550 per kg, kiwi at NPR 260 per kg, and avocado at NPR 350 per kg.
