Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today, with the value of the US dollar increasing. According to the rates set for today, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 143.67 and the selling rate at Rs 144.27.
Similarly, the buying rate of one European euro has been set at Rs 169 and the selling rate at Rs 169.70. The UK pound sterling has been fixed at a buying rate of Rs 193.88 and a selling rate of Rs 194.69, while the Swiss franc stands at Rs 181.70 for buying and Rs 182.46 for selling.
The Australian dollar has been set at a buying rate of Rs 96.24 and a selling rate of Rs 96.64, the Canadian dollar at Rs 104.92 for buying and Rs 105.36 for selling, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 111.77 for buying and Rs 112.23 for selling.
For Japanese yen, the buying rate for 10 units has been fixed at Rs 9.19 and the selling rate at Rs 9.23. The Chinese yuan has been set at Rs 20.51 for buying and Rs 20.59 for selling. Likewise, the Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 38.30 for buying and Rs 38.46 for selling, while the Qatari riyal has been fixed at Rs 39.41 for buying and Rs 39.58 for selling.
According to the central bank, the Thai baht has been fixed at a buying rate of Rs 4.57 and a selling rate of Rs 4.59. The UAE dirham stands at Rs 39.12 for buying and Rs 39.28 for selling, the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 35.39 for buying and Rs 35.53 for selling, and the South Korean won at Rs 10 for buying and Rs 10.04 for selling per 100 units. The Swedish krona has been set at Rs 15.65 for buying and Rs 15.71 for selling, while the Danish krone stands at Rs 22.63 for buying and Rs 22.73 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has also fixed the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.48 for buying and Rs 18.56 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar has been set at Rs 467.10 for buying and Rs 469.05 for selling, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 380.99 for buying and Rs 382.58 for selling, and the Omani riyal at Rs 373.17 for buying and Rs 374.73 for selling. Likewise, the buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.
The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that the rates set by commercial banks may differ, and that the latest updated exchange rates are available on the Nepal Rastra Bank website.
