The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported a partial influence of westerly winds across the country.
As a result, fog has developed in some areas of the Tarai, while parts of the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki and Karnali provinces are experiencing partly cloudy conditions. The rest of the country is seeing mostly clear weather. During the afternoon, light fog is expected in a few locations of the Tarai, while the hilly and mountainous regions will remain largely clear.
Tonight, fog is likely to persist in some parts of the Tarai. The weather in the hilly and Himalayan regions is expected to remain mostly clear.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has urged the public to take necessary precautions, as fog and mist during the morning hours may affect daily life, health, tourism, as well as air and road transportation.
