The Non-Judicial Roads and Rivers, Standard Victims’ Struggle Committee staged a protest at Maitighar, Kathmandu on Thursday.
The demonstrators raised slogans against river encroachment and displacement of people under the pretext of standards, stating, “Rivers must not be encroached, and people must not be displaced in the name of standards.” They also demanded the abolition of river-related standards.
