A high-level security meeting is currently underway at the Election Commission of Nepal targeting the upcoming elections.
The meeting is being attended by Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari along with all three commissioners of the Commission. Chiefs of the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force Nepal, and National Investigation Department are also present. Additionally, a Nepal Army Rathi, and the Secretaries of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Defence are participating in the meeting.
According to a Home Ministry official, discussions are focused on assessing election security challenges and ensuring a safe environment for voters by effectively managing potential risks.
