The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index climbed by 33.27 points to reach 2,866.87, marking a 1.17% increase.
According to NEPSE, shares of 344 companies were traded, with a total of 26.4 million shares exchanged in 123,359 transactions. The total turnover amounted to Rs. 10.53 billion.
All sector indices recorded gains in today’s trading. The banking sector rose by 1.30%, development banks by 1.53%, finance by 1.21%, hotels and tourism by 3.16%, hydropower by 2.14%, and the investment group by 0.89%.
Similarly, life insurance increased by 0.46%, manufacturing and processing by 0.11%, microfinance by 0.64%, mutual funds by 0.56%, non-life insurance by 0.39%, and other sectors by 0.10%.
NEPSE also reported that the share prices of six companies hit the positive circuit limit during today’s trading session.
