The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that Nepal is currently experiencing a partial influence of westerly and local winds.
Due to this effect, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces—especially in hilly and mountainous regions—are generally seeing cloudy conditions. Other mountainous areas across the country are also experiencing similar weather. Meanwhile, the Terai regions of Madhesh and Koshi Provinces are witnessing partly cloudy skies.
This afternoon, cloudy conditions are expected to persist in Koshi Province as well as other hilly and mountainous regions, while the Terai areas will remain partly cloudy. There is a chance of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces. Additionally, one or two locations in the mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces may also experience similar conditions, including light rainfall and snowfall.
Hot daytime conditions are likely in parts of the Terai regions of Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim Provinces, as well as in some other areas.
Tonight, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy in the mountainous regions, partly cloudy in the hilly areas, and mostly clear in the Terai. There is still a possibility of light rain and snowfall at one or two locations in the mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali Provinces, according to the Division.
