A jeep carrying a wedding party met with an accident in Salyan, leaving four people dead and 14 others injured.
According to the District Police Office Salyan, the deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Top Bahadur Thapa, 50-year-old Thage Gharti, 29-year-old Karna Bahadur Pun, and 30-year-old Man Bahadur Thapa, all residents of Bangad Kupinde Municipality–8, Thara.
Among the injured, four have returned home after treatment, while 10 others have been sent to Nepalgunj for further medical care.
The accident occurred at around 5:45 PM yesterday when a jeep (Lu Province 01-001 Ja 0271) was heading from Bangad Kupinde Municipality–8, Thara to Laxmipur of Kalimati carrying wedding attendees. The vehicle went out of control and crashed at Puthala in Bangad Kupinde Municipality–12.
The jeep that met with the accident was traveling alongside another vehicle carrying the bride and groom.
