The Ministry of Health and Population has decided that government hospitals will now observe public holidays on both Saturday and Sunday.
Earlier, the ministry had instructed hospitals to continue operating outpatient (OPD) services on Sundays. However, in accordance with the notice published in the Nepal Gazette on Chaitra 22, which declared both Saturday and Sunday as public holidays, the rule has now been implemented in government hospitals as well.
The ministry has also requested all hospitals to publish details of the services that will remain available during the holidays on their official websites and notice boards for public information.
