The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that fog is likely to persist until midday in some parts of the Tarai region today.
According to the forecast, the high hilly and Himalayan regions of the country will experience partly cloudy conditions, while the remaining areas will see generally clear weather. There is a possibility of light rainfall and snowfall at one or two locations in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi Province, Gandaki Province, and Karnali Province.
Similarly, during the night, fog is expected in some areas of the Tarai. The hilly and Himalayan regions of Karnali, Sudurpashchim Province, and Gandaki Province will remain partly cloudy, while the rest of the country will have mostly clear weather. The department has also indicated a chance of light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki Province.
At present, Nepal is under the partial influence of a western weather system. Partly cloudy conditions prevail in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while the remaining parts of the country are experiencing clear weather.
