Problems have been seen on the video platform YouTube, leaving millions of users unable to watch, open, or play videos.
According to the outage-tracking website Downdetector, more than 200,000 users reported issues during the disruption. Many users said they experienced problems on both mobile apps and the website.
Users complained that while trying to open videos, a message saying “Something went wrong” appeared. Some reported that videos would not play, pages would not open, and content would not load.
So far, no official information has been released by the concerned authorities about the cause of the disruption. It is also not yet clear whether the service has fully returned to normal. As the service remains unstable, many users continue to report issues on Downdetector. Users in Nepal have also shared on social media that they are facing problems with YouTube.
