Universities across Nepal have decided to provide transcripts within 15 days of publishing examination results. The decision was agreed upon by all Vice-Chancellors during a meeting held on Chaitra 20 in the presence of Education, Science and Technology Minister Sasmita Pokharel.
The meeting also decided to develop a dedicated results portal in each university to make result publication more predictable and systematic. With this system in place, transcripts must be issued within 15 days from the date results are made public.
To make the national academic calendar for higher education more effective, a committee will be formed under the coordination of the Secretary of the University Grants Commission Nepal. The committee has been assigned the responsibility to prepare a revised and improved academic calendar within 15 days.
Similarly, a 24-hour grievance management system will be introduced to address students’ and service seekers’ complaints, suggestions, and service requests quickly and effectively. A multi-channel system will be arranged so that grievances can be registered via phone, mobile app, online portal, and social media.
On the other hand, students will also be able to easily download their academic certificates through a mobile app, the Nagarik App, or email. Necessary apps and portals will be developed and integrated with the Nagarik App within 15 days.
