Chairperson of the Aam Janata Party, Prabhu Sah, has warned that the people of Rautahat will not accept “jungle raj,” directing his remarks at Rabi Lamichhane, president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, and senior leader Balen Shah.
Addressing an election rally held in Maryadpur, Rautahat, on Wednesday, Sah said that lawlessness cannot be tolerated. On Tuesday, supporters of the Rastriya Swatantra Party allegedly created disturbances during an election program organized in Mohammadpur, Rautahat.
Expressing strong objection to the incident, Chairperson Sah urged the local administration to immediately control such unruly activities. “The misconduct displayed yesterday in Mohammadpur in the name of the bell election symbol is condemnable,” Sah said. “I want to ask Rabi Lamichhane and Balen Shah — is this your idea of good governance? Did you instruct your cadres to disrupt others’ election programs? Isn’t this jungle raj?”
He further stated that if action is not taken against those involved in creating social disorder at his party’s event, there will be retaliation. “If the rule of law exists in the country, the guilty must be punished immediately. Otherwise, the people here will resist those who engage in such hooliganism,” Sah warned.
